A practice built on financial honesty.
We work with Thai business owners and leadership teams who need a considered financial perspective from someone outside their organisation.
Back to HomeHow Bodhi Consult came to exist
Bodhi Consult was formed by a small group of finance professionals who had spent their careers working within organisations — as analysts, controllers, and advisers — and who noticed a consistent gap in the Thai market. Most of the advisory firms that serve Thai SMEs operate at a scale designed for larger businesses, with fees and processes to match.
Our founders recognised that family-owned businesses and mid-sized Thai enterprises often face substantive financial questions — around capital, planning, or transactions — without a straightforward way to access senior-level guidance that is genuinely tailored to their circumstances.
The practice was opened on Silom Road to be close to the businesses we serve. Our approach is deliberate: a small number of engagements at any one time, so that our attention is meaningful rather than distributed too thinly.
Our orientation
We are not a firm that positions advisory work as a gateway to further products or services. Our engagements have defined scope and defined fees. The work ends when the engagement ends.
We are also not in the business of delivering optimistic conclusions. An engagement that surfaces difficult questions is, in our view, more valuable than one that confirms what the client hoped to hear.

Who you would be working with
Our practice is intentionally small. The people listed below are involved in every client engagement, not just in the origination or oversight of the work.
Kasem Suwan
Managing Director
Fifteen years in corporate finance across Bangkok and Singapore. Particular focus on financial modelling, capital structure, and transaction readiness for owner-managed businesses.
Nantawan Chaisuwan
Financial Advisory Lead
Previously a finance director at two Thai manufacturing groups. Leads our financial planning and forecasting engagements, with a background in operational finance and CFO-level advisory.
Prem Lertkiat
Transaction Advisory
Focused on transaction work — diligence support, financial package preparation, and negotiation support. Has advised on deals ranging from SME acquisitions to mid-market capital raises in Southeast Asia.
How we conduct our work
A few principles that shape every engagement we take on.
Confidentiality
All client materials are handled under non-disclosure agreements signed prior to any review. We do not discuss client situations with third parties, and our team has no external reporting obligations that could affect this.
Independence
We do not receive referral fees or commissions from third parties. Our advice is not shaped by relationships with lenders, investors, or product providers. The engagement fee is the only consideration.
Written Outputs
Every engagement produces a written document — a memorandum, a model, or a planning document — that belongs to the client and can be used independently of our ongoing involvement.
Clear Communication
We write and speak plainly. Financial jargon is used when it adds precision, not to demonstrate expertise. If something is uncertain, we say so, rather than presenting a confident veneer over a genuine unknown.
Data Protection
Client financial data is stored on encrypted systems with access limited to the engagement team. We follow applicable Thai data protection requirements and do not retain data beyond the engagement period without explicit agreement.
Defined Scope
The scope, deliverables, and fee for each engagement are agreed in writing before work begins. We do not expand engagements unilaterally or introduce additional fees mid-project without your agreement.
Financial advisory that respects your intelligence
Thai family businesses and SMEs occupy a particular position. They carry the complexity of a mature enterprise — multiple stakeholders, layered financial relationships, long planning horizons — without necessarily having a dedicated financial function capable of handling every question that arises. This is the space where Bodhi Consult operates.
Our work is most useful when a business is at a decision point: considering whether to refinance, whether to bring in a partner, whether to restructure, or whether to invest in a new direction. At those moments, having a clear financial picture matters more than usual, and so does having advice that is not entangled with a product to sell or a relationship to preserve.
We bring financial modelling, planning, and transaction experience to those moments. We try to ask the right questions, surface the numbers that matter, and leave clients with something they can use — not a dependency on our continued presence.
Could we be a fit for your business?
A short introductory conversation — without commitment on either side — is often the most efficient way to find out.
